B is for Boredom

I've been too bored lately. The problem is that I have plenty of things to do. I would rather be lazy than be productive most days. So, I'm setting some goals for myself.

For my health:
*Drink 8 glasses of water each day.
*Take my vitamins twice daily.
*Find a family doctor and schedule a check-up.
*Eat a healthier lunch.

For my house:
*Do a little de-cluttering every day.
*Do one extra chore/task each day.
*Box up things I've been wanting to take to the garage sale.

For my family:
*Keep up the meal planning.
*Keep a calendar.

For Zachariah:
*Try doing at least one craft-type project each week.

I have started on some of these things, but I felt like I needed a list to see what's been running though my brain. Of course there are many more things, but this is a good start.

How about you? What can you do to be less lazy? Or maybe you're a very productive person. If that's the case, give me some advice. What is a great tip that you'd like to share?

I do one chore a day. It helps me to not feel overwhelmed by having to clean the whole house. Instead, I just have to sweep, or clean the bathroom, or whatever. Most days I end up doing more, but I know I can stop after that one chore if I want to. It makes a big difference for me. I even have them listed by day on the fridge and I check them off when I'm done. On days when I don't feel like I did anything worthwhile, I look at my little checkmark and feel good about it.

these are great, practical goals! :)

It amazes me how, as a mom, I have a much harder time taking care of the things I need to now.

I try to do the same as Erica- one task a day, like dust the bedrooms, or vacuum, or put away all the laundry, etc. Except lately, with showings, I feel like I do nothing at all but clean, so on the days immediately following a showing, I basically take it easy and don't do much besides dishes.

Great ideas! I like Erica's idea, too, rather than doing all of my cleaning on one day....exhausting!

My current goal is to pack two boxes a day until we move. Hopefully, this will keep us from having to pack a million boxes in one week.

My goal has been one basket of laundry---washed, dried and put away every day. The water is a good one too, I'm no good at it

I want to cure myself of being a hoarder. Actually, I don't save stuff so much anymore, but there are boxes of junk in the basement that I want to clear out this summer.

I just want to know this:

Where's my Rosie the Robot to take care of all this stuff for me?

Twenty First Century and no robots!
