Subdued

So, when I came home last night Baby and Daddy were much happier. They were both eating supper and seeming to enjoy each other's company. They had played together and got along splendidly. I just wanted to post this update after the horrible episode the night before. So, life just happens. We all learn to go with the flow. And I suppose there will always be good days and bad days. This is especially true now with a baby.

Glad to hear feelings are being soothed. I had no advise to offer after your last post, because with us the problem was usually reversed- as soon as Dad got home, all she wanted was him, holding her. I tried not to be hurt, and chalked it up to the fact that I was old news by now, since she's mostly with me, and that maybe she saw me as being less "fun" or something since I usually do meals and baths and errands and boring things like that. Daddy does more helicopter games.
But now, lo and behold, the tables have turned somewhat. She's gotten to a clingy Mommy stage, especially if she's sad or hurt or something. So I think with babies you absolutely can't take it personally when they go through weird moodiness.
