Blog Schmog

Why have I gotten so addicted to reading blogs? Once you start, you can't stop. And I check them compulsively at least 2 times each day during the week. I think I like to hear about other people's lives. It's almost like watching a reality show on TV. Is my life that boring that I have to live through others? I honestly don't think it's that, but it's something. It is fun to "get to know" other people online though. I've been doing that for a long time. It's just that my latest addiction is blogging. Although, I do enjoy having my own blog almost as much as reading others. When I started reading blogs, there were about 5 that I really enjoyed and checked often. Then I started connecting to other blogs from their blogs, and now I regularly check about 12. And some days when I'm sitting here with nothing else to do, I start searching for more blogs to read. I try not to let myself get hooked on many more, but I don't know if I can help it. Anyway, just wanted you to know that I love you, my blogging world.

ME TOO! I went from reading maybe a half dozen blogs occasionally, to reading, like, FIFTY of them, and checking again and again during the day, and browsing other people's blogrolls for new blogs to read.

I use an RSS Reader that tells me when anyone updates, and you know what that feels like to me now? Getting email from friends. I see someone has a new post, and it gives me that same feeling: "Oooh, goodie, mail from so-and-so!"

Glad I'm not the only one. Guess I'm too much of a loner to get more real friends. HA!

Oh me too! It's kind of a slippery slope, isn't it? But I love checking in on my online "friends" it's better than television, um, almost. I also get very excited that there are people out there, "reading me." In my case I feel like I'm part of a virtual parenthood support group; I only read one or two non-parent blogs. I got hooked after feeling totally isolated in my first few weeks of stay at home motherhood. I started reading blogs and felt like, "Oh, there all of you are."

Yes indeed, here we are all. Blogging in our pajamas, more often than not, and with Cheerios in all sorts of inexplicable places throughout the house, but WE ARE STILL HERE!

It's completely addictive. I have 88 blogs in my bloglines right now. :) And I keep adding new ones all the time.

Like yours! I FINALLY got over to "meet" you! :) I've been enjoying your comments and have had no time since Luke was born.
