This pizza is so much fun. Of course, we, as parents, have had many concerns lately about plastic toys because of all the recalls and nonsense. What a better way to avoid problems, then having a handmade felt toy.
Two years old is a great age to start creativity and lots of hands on play. Zachariah loves that he can make his own pizza. He puts the toppings on just so, one by one, then takes turns feeding the pizza to us.
The box that the pizza comes in is great for storage, and Zachariah likes to deliver pizzas too. But his favorite way to do it, is to just roll it up and "eat" the whole thing like a taco.
This is an awesome toy that I would recommend to any parent with a child over 2. It would also make a great birthday/Christmas present. The pizza is well made and the toppings are so cute. Shannon makes each one on her own and does a fantastic job.
If you'd like to order your own felt pizza, go to Shannon's Etsy page. Do it now, because she'll soon be overwhelmed with orders and you don't want to wait.

Cute idea! He is getting so big!
Don't you also agree that Shannon needs to raise her prices?
I ordered two pizzas from her for the first birthdays of two #3 children. These two girls have lots of other toys in their homes since they are each #3, so I thought this would make a different kind of gift. I figure they can play with the crust, sauce, and cheese first, and the toppings can be brought out when they are a little older.
No Whey Mama is right. This is a great price for these pizzas! So go, GO BUY ONE now before she raises the prices. ;)
And yes, I think the pizzas without toppings would be great for any age. It's perfect for a 1st birthday gift. I know we always love the gifts that are more unique than others, and this definitely is that.
that is so cute. I love felt food, I want someone to make me a whole set of "kitchen" foods (fried eggs, bacon , sandwich parts etc)
we have a wooden pizza set and it's awesome because the rolly cutter is half the fun.
Jen- I think that's a great idea. A bunch of food stuff like this would be fun.
We have a wooden pizza set that he got for Christmas too. That was one of his favorite toys, but he doesn't use it now that he has this one. He also has a fun wooden sandwich set that he got for his birthday. They are neat sets.
Oh how cute! What a great idea!
