Bedroom Remakes

Last week I was cleaned out our bedroom. It seems to be the collecting place for things that I'm not sure what else to do with. I wanted the clutter gone.

I've been much happier with our room since it's nice and clean. I feel more relaxed in there. I can sleep easier too.

While I was cleaning, I was thinking of things I could do to make our room better. I wonder if a bedroom vanity would look good in there and be more functional for me. We could use a new bedset too, I think, ours is 10 years old. It was a wedding gift, and it's never been what I wanted anyway.

I think little things like that plus some other little decorative touches will make my little bedroom just what I want. How do you make your bedroom cozy and inviting?

Our room is pretty small. Our bed takes up the bulk of the space and it's not even a King size! We have a tv in there but usually only watch it for a little while as we are getting ready for bed, or I'll put a movie in there sometimes for the clones as long as it's a VHS tape because there's no DVD player in there. Our room (and bathroom) tends to be the last one cleaned and it becomes a repository for the junk that has no home which I don't like, but in our little house we don't have much choice. A lot of the time it goes in there as a stopping point on it's way to Goodwill or the trash can. Doesn't that sound cozy? LOL!!

You and Fran sound like me! Our bedroom is the holding room for annoying toys, clothes that need to be mended and exercise equipment that is rarely used. I just did a huge clean out yesterday in preparation for our getting a bigger bed (after R's big fall last weekend). You should get a vanity - I love mine! It's an antique/family heirloom and came with the bed and chest of drawers. I don't think I could live without it!

I loved the way adding a bookshelf made our room cozier, but I guess that isn't very romantic is it?

Mmmm, I think there's a trend here for the bedroom being the last to get cleaned and the first place to dump stuff. I even store my vacuum in mine! Good luck decorating!

I just added a desk to my bedroom. I stub my toe a lot in the middle of the night now.
