That and spanking in general are such ...Ooh, yeah! That and spanking in general are such hot-button topics. For me they really are anyways- I'm pretty firmly in the anti spanking camp, and people are so obsessed with trying to tell me that I'm going to raise a total brat if I don't spank her! And I'm like, "Hello, I know lots of total brats who are spanked all the time!" I don't think it's so much the method of discipline as the consistency you use that matters.Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07141742419364168878noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5431253946346326687.post-70745751750652637532007-02-26T13:41:00.000-05:002007-02-26T13:41:00.000-05:00Ha ha, me too. My mom and I got in a discussion about slapping their hands. Maybe that would be a good post topic.Mommy Daisyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02272248293460562006noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5431253946346326687.post-56139475529153668082007-02-26T12:37:00.000-05:002007-02-26T12:37:00.000-05:00Mmm, I overuse no a lot too. I've really tried not to, because I want to reserve it as an attention-getting phrase (ex: No, don't run into the street!") rather than a constant daily chorus of "no,no,no" that she starts to tune out after awhile. We use words like "ouchy" and "acky," for example, if we don't want her to touch or taste something potentially dangerous, or just plan disgusting.Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07141742419364168878noreply@blogger.com
