DVD Review & Giveaway- HIT Favorites: Halloween Spooktacular

It's hard to believe that Halloween is less than two weeks away. Zachariah has been looking forward to it for a while now. It all started because he spotted his big orange pumpkin when I was clearing out his closet. Now he tells me that "guys put candy in it". Yep, that's pretty much it. And he's waiting. For a while he would ask every day if it was Halloween yet, but now he knows I will tell him. (That reminds me, I need to find out when the mall has trick-or-treating. I tell you, that's the easiest way to go with a toddler.)

So to further help us get in the Halloween spirit (which isn't much here at our house), we got this HIT Favorites: Halloween Spooktacular DVD. This movie has 5 episodes (plus 2 bonus episodes, so really it's 7) of different Halloween adventures from various fun characters. The first is Barney & Friends: "Sweet Treats", then Bob the Builder: "Dizzy's Sleepover", Angelina Ballerina: "Midnight Muddle", Fireman Sam: "Mummy's Little Pumpkin", Thomas & Friends: "Halloween", Kipper: "The Costume Party", and finally Fifi and the Flowertots: "Fifi's Scarecrow".

I actually find this video rather entertaining myself. My personal favorites are the Bob the Builder one and the Thomas & Friends one. Zachariah's favorites are probably Barney and Thomas. He enjoys playing out the Thomas one. There is a "ghost train" and he likes to say "Ghost train is coming, Mom, look out". Then he will run from it. (He's also recently like the "Mater & the Ghost Light" short feature from Cars and the "Ghost Train" episode from a free GeoTrax DVD we got, so I see a pattern developing.)

**I know there isn't much time left before Halloween, but I do have a copy of this to giveaway. I'll hold a short contest, so I can get it in the mail soon. This would make a fun treat for Halloween for your kids. (This is not a Pay it Forward contest.)

All you have to do to enter is leave a comment (be sure your e-mail address is available or at least I have it from before). If you'd like a second entry, you can link to this post on your blog. Then come back here and leave another comment with the link to your blog post. If you need something to comment about, tell me what your kids or you are being for Halloween this year. Zachariah's going to be a "royal knight".

I will be drawing a winner on Thursday, October 23rd at 11:00 PM EST and announcing the winner here. Best of luck, and stay tuned for more DVD reviews and giveaway.

I almost bought this video for Maddie yesterday! She'd love it.

She's going to be a pirate for school and a dinosaur for trick-or-treating.

Harper is going to be a mermaid for Halloween. I am NOT making the costume myself. . .Oh how far I've fallen.

I've already won one of your give-a-ways, so you can take my name out of the running (just doesn't seem fair to win two of them!). But, I wanted to be sure to ask you to post pics of Zachariah in his costume. It sounds absolutely adorable. Maybe he can rescue/marry my little princess bride.

So fun!

I don't know what my kids are going to be- G is waffling. If she's supergirl, then he will be superman. If she's the fairy with the fiberoptic light up dress, then I will probably drag the lion suit out of the closet that a friend gave us. :)

Linked it to my post!! Yay! Two entry's. Oh and I wanted to say that I am dressing up as Wilma and Violet is dressing up as Pebbles. My other friend and her son are going out with us and they are going to be Betty and Bam Bam! I'm so excited!!! ...but not if it snows :(
